Now, we're seasoned boaters, so we boat no matter the weather. We've been trying to make the most of the rainy days and cooler weather. Here you can see that the kids used the mat to create a small shelter to avoid the rain.
And here, you can see Barrett watching with his eyeglass for the rain to go away.
And here, you can see the dog snuggling with Barrett in the sun, which should be a clear indicator that it was cool enough that snuggling still seemed appealing.
While it was pleasant to be outside all of those times, it was not as pleasant to be in the water. So, this weekend, we finally got that hot, humid, lake weather. The kids swam a ton...and so did I! I forgot how much work it is jumping off the diving board! Barrett had his paddleboard out and was paddling around constantly. It's no wonder he slept almost the entire way home.
The kids got to help test out their Papa's Whaler too. Fletcher wasn't so sure about it though, so Audrey had to keep her arm around him the whole time. He told me it wasn't a strong boat, and that made him scared.
Fletcher wore himself out so badly that he needed a nap. And, what better place to nap then the boat. He fell asleep on the boat 3 times over the course of the weekend.
It is nice to have some lake weather. So bring on the Lake weekends!
