Catching Up

The past few weeks have been crazy busy.  The Lord is good, because we have weathered the storm and are coming through it by his grace.  Both Billy and I have been really busy at work; it is to a point that are only dates lately have been out late night laptop dates on the couch.  We have also had a lot of activities going on with friends and family.  This past weekend, Billy and I went to Buffalo, New York for Joel and Margaret Kovach's wedding, while the children got to spend some quality time with our parents.  It was nice for us to have some time to ourselves; we actually had conversations that did not revolve around logistics.  The trip was fun, cold, but fun.  The only bad part is that our bags didn't make our connection to St. Louis, and 24 hours after our flight arrived, we still have no bags.  I believe they are in St. Louis at this point, but they have not delivered them to our house yet.  I am starting to lose my patience with this.

Barret is still working on his first teeth.  You can totally feel them, but they haven't broken thorugh the skin yet.  I was thinking they might make it through this weekend, but no such luck.  What Barrett did accomplish was pulling all the way up to standing on his own.  He is totally determine to pull up on everything now, which is hillarious when he is on the tile in his socks.  He hasn't figured out how to get traction.

On the way home last night, Audrey had all sorts of stories to tell us.  It is so much fun to listen to her stories.  It was almost like a game for Billy and I to piece together what she did over the course of the weekend as we listened to the stories.  She had a ton of them too.  I am sure we'll get a few more over the course of the next few days.  Her animation and commentary is just so entertaining. Which parent do you think she gets that from?
